Now that the holidays are over, I'm excited to share all of my fall sessions with you guys! I met so many awesome families this year, it was so much fun. First up is the Dineen Family. It took the boys a little while to warm up to me, but within no time they were playing and having fun. If you takes boys into the woods they are bound to have a good time!

I will be writing very few blog posts this month (even though I am up to my ears in work) as I don't want to ruin anyone's holiday cards or gifts. But I thought I would share here the sneak peaks that I have been posting on my Facebook page. I promise a couple of sneak peaks for every client as I know how excited they are to see their images! I usually post one the day after our session and one right as I am finishing up their gallery. Sometimes uploading them to Facebook causes the quality of the images to go down (is it just me or do you notice it too?) so I also wanted to put them in a place where they will look absolutely perfect!

Here in Houston the weather is FINALLY starting to cool down and act like fall. The temperatures have dropped and the leaves are starting to change (as much as they do in Texas). November is going to be my busiest month this year and I am completely booked this month. Most of my sessions this month are family sessions as everyone is getting updated photos taken for holiday cards and gifts. I love seeing old clients, meeting new ones and getting to photograph their beautiful families. But if you are like a lot of people I know (including myself!!) these family photos can be SO stressful.

Houston Baby Photographer | Cake Smash Session - Hannah's First Birthday

If you follow me on Facebook (and you should, you really should - lots of sneak peaks!) you might remember this gorgeous girl. 

Meet Miss Hannah. She turned one last week and we had a blast during her first birthday photo shoot. I went to their Houston home and we played outside with balls and balloons, and then she got to tear into a delicious cake that her mommy made. She was a little hesitant at first, but once she had a taste she was hooked!

Houston Baby Photographer | First Birthday

It was my pleasure to take some photos for a dear friend over the weekend of her little boy at Rice University in Houston. He celebrated his first birthday a few weeks ago and I have to say, I am starting to really LOVE this age! I have watched him grow from a tiny baby into an energetic toddler over the last year - and it has been so much fun! He's already a ham for the camera, can you tell??

Houston Newborn Photographer | Baby Madelyn

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the Leigh family who had just welcomed Baby Madelyn into their lives. I have to tell you, even though this was their first child you never would have known it! Everyone was so cool, calm and collected - even Madelyn! She barely fussed or cried and happily watched me and let me move her all around. She didn't even fall asleep for one minute the whole time I was there - that is a long time for a newborn! But I'm glad she didn't as I was able to get some great shots of her big, beautiful eyes.

The Leigh's booked the "Grow with Me" package and I cannot wait to see Miss Madelyn in a few months to see how she has grown. Thank you Jennifer, Jared and Madelyn for letting me capture this special time in your life!

Houston Newborn Photographer | Bella Baby Photography

Hey everyone! I'm just popping in quickly to let you in on some exciting news! 

I am so excited and honored to be joining the Bella Baby Photography team here in Houston! I will be photographing newborns at Texas Children's Hospital Pavilion for Women alongside a super talented team. This is all a bit surreal for me as it was about this time last year that it was ME who was having my newborn photographed at the same hospital!

I am so excited to be photographing newborns (and their families) when they are only a day or two old. There is no better gift for new parents (or grandparents...or aunts and uncles...) and I speak from experience!

I am going to continue taking on my own clients - as photographing babies and kids of any age is still a passion for me! So you won't see any changes here other than the fact that I will be a little busier nowadays.

Houston Baby Photographer | Cake Smash Session - Coopers First Birthday

The day after the New Year, Cooper celebrated his first birthday. First birthdays are always so fun to photograph because you can see and feel what an accomplishment it is - both for baby and the parents. There has been so much that Cooper has learned in his first year...how to sit up, roll over, crawl and walk. How to play peek-a-boo and give kisses. He also learned how to attack a cake - he had a blast playing with the frosting and sprinkles and loved being the center of attention. You can also see how much the parents have learned...how to love and care for their baby unconditionally, encourage and support him. They survived sleepless nights, teething nightmares, bumps and bruises. A babies first birthday is a celebration for both baby and parents - hooray you did it! And no better way to celebrate than with some cake :)

Houston Family Photographer | The Walsh Family

A couple of weeks ago I met up with the Walsh family to take some photos of them - you see they recently went from a family of two, to a family of three. Liz and James welcomed JD to their family in late August and he is as cute as a button. The whole family was fabulous to photograph - everyone was on their best behavior, including their dog Hammie!
